Fresh young meat rabbit trios ready to breed in June/July. Silver Fox mix bucks. This is a rare breed with a reported 65% meat-to-bone ratio. They are one-half Silver Fox and one-half American Chinchilla mix. The kits have been reaching fryer weight of 4 to 5 lbs in 8 weeks and up to 8lbs by 3 months. We are so pleased with this combination to get the kits up to weight quickly that we are going to breed this mix on a regular basis. The first two photos demonstrate the growth rate between 8 weeks and 12 weeks.
The Silver Fox breed brings a nice loin and they are very easy to handle and raise. Raise your own protein source in your garage or back yard. Rabbit manure is also one of the best organic garden enhancers. It is not hot and can be added to your garden immediately without burning plants or needing to be composted first.
